trainer, spiritual director & writer

Miranda has over 20 years' experience in working cross-culturally. She and her husband, Tim, have lived and worked in various parts of sub-Saharan Africa where they worked alongside multi-cultural teams with people of all ages and backgrounds. She has learned three languages; her under-graduate degree was in French, she lived for a time in Portuguese-speaking Mozambique, and she now lives in Spain. As an accredited spiritual director and with a Master's degree in Christian Formation, Miranda has spoken and trained in dozens of locations across more than 30 countries.

That's the official story ...

The unofficial story takes into account the highs and lows of a number of cross-cultural transitions, the very real joys and challenges of becoming a mother and parenting two girls, and the winding path of spiritual formation framed by these experiences. It is this that has given me a passion for supporting people on their own inner journeys.

You can read more of the unofficial story on my personal blog!

Testimonials

mum, wife, runner, adventurer

I live by the adage that 'everything is spiritual' - everything has something to teach us, or reveal to us, and God is real to us in every aspect of life. I know that my soul breathes when I am in the great outdoors and that I love the energising majesty of mountains. I know that I live for the life-enhancing quality of well-chosen adventures, and also that the ordinary work of raising two daughters with my husband has trained me in the deep inner work of true transformation. Writing about these experiences, in reflective prose and in poetry, helps me to process and to deepen the learning and the gifts they offer.

family life

Originally from the UK, Tim and I have raised our family overseas. This has meant language-learning, cultural transition, wrestling with a sense of belonging to more than one place, and many adventures. On my personal blog, I write about all this - as well as about parenting, adoption and the joys and challenges of raising girls.
